6/29/09- So what happened here?
NGS was recently flagged by Google as a malware-hosting website. A third party had injected code into 95% of the site, creating unwanted iframes that linked out to dubious websites promising untold amounts of trojan software.
This was *not* a direct hacking attempt on our site. I have noticed in the last two weeks a sudden surge of viruses out there attacking arbitrary websites and spreading themselves to visitors' computers. The attack on NGS happened a few days after I tried to visit a website that turned out to have been victimized in this way. I ran multiple scans and peformed a system restore on my laptop, but at least one trojan managed to get by all that and grab ahold of the NGS login information.
Over the weekend, I fixed up the access and cleaned up our server space from my Linux computer (so we know there was nothing more nasty going on), and wiped my Windows hard drive (it's good to reformat every once in a while anyway), so there are definitely no more viruses on my end :P If the problem returns, it means there's something up with the server and that's going to be an even bigger fiasco... so keep your fingers crossed that this doesn't come back!
And I know there are so many advertised scares out there against hackers and viruses trying to keep you in a constant panic in order to make you buy more software and pay for more services, that to many people (myself included), it all sounds like crying wolf after a certain point. But keep in mind that it IS a VERY good idea to stay on the lookout and make sure your system doesn't become secretly infected by compromising software, because it obviously does happen ;) If you run Windows, I would suggest installing Spybot and running system scans at least once a month. Spybot is probably the most thorough program out there for finding problems, and it's absolutely free!
I'm sure many of you don't want an entire lecture on computer safety, so I'll end here to save you the pain of having to skip through it. However, for anyone who is worried they may have received malware from visiting our website, has questions about viruses, adware, and browsing security, or is simply looking for tips on all this computer mumbo jumbo, please email me! Believe me, I'm happy to help.

4/27/09- And now it's... the Memento Mori Tour live report part 2!
4/21/09- Ommigoshlookitthatwaddyaknow iiiit's... the Memento Mori Tour Live Report! (part one!)
4/18/09- How about that! We've got Bonnie Pink translations!
3/9/09- In honor of Mr. Sakurai's birthday (which was two days ago, whatever), we bring you a live report from Der Zibet's official re-birthday (rebirth-day?) Cause, although it may not always seem like it, we aren't just a BUCK-TICK website :-P Der Zibet is back with their 13th studio album, the first in 13 years, and on Friday night in the moonshine the fans gathered on the 13th floor... No, sorry, we lied. There was no moonshine, it was pouring rain, which meant the fans at the show all brought their sweet polkadot umbrellas... Forget it, just go read the article already.
3/3/09- Complete Memento Mori translations- Now bigger and badder than ever! As seen on TV! (except not, because that would be weird)
2/27/09- Suzumebachi has now been added to Memento Mori! No wai!
2/26/09- Gasp! More lyrics? Could it be? We've added the translations to Memento Mori and Jonathan Jet-Coaster.
2/23/09- Dangerous kids, terrible children, Japanese babies, lend us your ears! The
Dia de los Muertos may by months away, but here in B-T land, it's come
early! We're proud to bring you translations for the first half of Memento
Mori, so head over to the Lyrics & Translations and check it out! If you
ever doubted, rest assured that "Heaven" and "Galaxy" were just for show.
Really, really, Imai wants you to suck his sugar skull. What are you
waiting for?
2/22/09- Now up: a report of Buck-Tick's free live at Akasaka Blitz on February 18.
2/1/09- After having been given a healthy and, dare I say, slightly robust delay to allow for proper fermentation (like a fine wine or expensive cheese), the live report of Buck-Tick's Day In Question 2008 at the Nippon Budoukon is now up. We could be horribly embarrased for the amount of time it took to get this thing out there, but if Fool's Mate and Ongaku to Hito (who are also only just now putting out their reports) are perfectly cool with this time dealy, then there is clearly no need for us to be worried either.
1/15/09- We bring you the translations to Buck-Tick's latest single Galaxy. Yes, thank god. Our boys have finally seen the light and changed deep within their hearts, finding the true path toward odd and expressive music. Who needs goth or cyberpunk when you can have accordian? But really, is this just Imai singing lovey dovey about his marriage, or has Sakurai been swayed to doing Rihanna covers? Who knows! Who will ever know! But with this new single, we see the beauty of the world and hope for all mankind... I lied.
12/21/08- The second part of the Fish Tank tour live report is now available! Also, the first part has pictures added to it!
12/17/08- After much anticipation, we bring you a translation of BUCK-TICK's new single, "HEAVEN"! Is this a Japanese version of "Imagine," a Christmas song Buddhist-style, or a declaration by Sakurai of his undying love for his overseas fans (but only the ones with blue eyes!)?? YOU DECIDE! And if that isn't good enough, we bring you a translation of the b-side, "Makka na Yoru"! In response to a challenge from Masuda You, the English lyrics fit the original tune, so if you gave up studying Japanese, you can sing along in English! Who is Masuda You, and why does he want to hear Makka na Yoru in English? Find out yourself, cause we're not telling :P
Better enjoy this BUCK-TICK as much as you can, because it's another month until "GALAXY," and another two months until Memento mori (gasp, could that possibly be the name of the new album?) How can you stand the wait? Play a drinking game with your friends! Put up BUCK-TICK's entire discrography and play it on random, and every time Sakurai makes a moaning noise or Imai hits the whammy bar, take a drink. Then read part two of the Fish Tanker's Only live report (if you've gotten over your hangover by the time we put it up.)*
