7/27/08- Chapter 1 of Love Me is up. And if it seems a little strange, well that's because it is.

7/17/08- A new (not so great) monthly feature from NGS!  At the request of Matael from Germany, we bring you a translation of the early history of BUCK-TICK from the book Love Me, published in 1989.  All your questions about the formation of the band will be answered with fantastic melodrama!  Today, we bring you the prologue, written by a very young Mr. Sakurai .  Check back soon for chapter 1!  We'll be posting a chapter a month until October. Enjoy! (You'll find it under "not greatest articles"... we decided it was too large a project to be filed under "translated articles and interviews").

7/7/08- UPDATE OVERDRIVE (no it's not a BT reference you ignorant fools!) YES, ALL THE BT TRANSLATIONS ARE NOW POSTED! OUR LIFE AS A WEBSITE IS COMPLETE! And now a note from our translator.

Well, folks, I know some people said I was crazy when I started this project but I get the last laugh, because now I'm finished!  I have translated ALL of BUCK-TICK's lyrics*!  I demand firecrackers!  (yes it's a pun laugh dammit)  It's been two and a half years, but honestly, I've taken my time with it because I've enjoyed doing it a lot.  I hope you all get as much enjoyment out of reading the translations as I did out of writing them.  And don't worry, this is not the end of NGS!  We have many fantastic things planned for you, so stay tuned and wait eagerly with us for the day (we suspect in the not too distant future) when BT will go ahead and make the lyrics page incomplete again!

~Kuroe, your friendly neighborhood translator

*With the exception of "Vacuum Dream" and "No No Boy," because I don't have the money for the Hurry Up Mode LP.

6/10/08- Translations, kanji, and romaji for the last nine tracks on Dir en grey's Withering to Death are now posted.

5/31/08- Lyrics to Dropz's album Sweet Oblivion have been posted (this is essentially a bonus update since it required no translation work). For anyone who might not be aware, Dropz was Hoshino Hidehiko's side project, which he worked on in collaboration with Cube Juice and Kelli Ali (formerly of the British trip-hop group Sneaker Pimps) and are certainly well worth checking out.

5/26/08- Any translations, kanji, and romanji formerly missing from Aku no Hana -are now posted. Aku no Hana holds the record for being Buck-Tick's best selling album of all time, currently beating the recently popular likes of Tenshi no Revolver nearly fifteen times over for sales. So, Have a pain? Feelin Blue? No need to Goth it out to Juusankai wa Gekkou, just Go to pot Boozy Night! Thassright.

5/22/08- Any translations, romaji, or kanji that were previously missing from Buck-Tick's album Taboo are now up.

5/14/08- For those of you curious to know what people were saying in the document extra on the Parade Tour DVD, we've posted a translated transcript in the translated articles section (shh.. we know it's not really an article).

5/9/08- Now available for your reading pleasure is a 1994 interview with Sakurai Atsushi and Issay (in the translated articles section). Bear witness as Sakurai and Issay talk about London, takoyaki, the beach, and just how tough it is to be a Goth.  This interview was taken from the book WORDS by BUCK-TICK and originally appeared in Ongaku to Hito magazine.

For those of you who don't know, Issay is the vocalist of Der Zibet, an early visual band that had some influence on BUCK-TICK.  Der Zibet are a fantastic band in their own right and sadly underappreciated, and if this interview leaves you just dying to listen to their music, we highly recommend you get some!  If you can't find any, email Kuroe.

5/5/08- Yay lyrics! Yay Schwein! Schwein has now been added to our translated artists and the entirety of Schweinstein can be found you-know-where.

4/30/08- Before anyone goes about lighting vigil candles on our behalf, we bring you an update: a review of Buck-Tick's On Parade DVD can now be found in the articles section.

Yes, we have more translations soon on their way as well. While Kame has been off on some sort of European tour, Kuroe has whipped up quite a lot of material that is waiting to be published, and now that Kame has re-obtained reliable computer access, this backlog should be coming out gradually over the next few weeks. Thanks for bearing with us!
